One thousand years later it became home to famed authors James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, and Samuel Beckett, known worldwide for their cultural contributions. Blessed with gorgeous Georgian architecture, world-class museums, libraries, and public parks, and an astonishing five Michelin-starred restaurants, the city is fueled by the ever-endearing Gaelic trait of craic (crack).

The Shelbourne Hotel is a Dublin icon. The hotel enjoys a prime position on St. Stephens Green, just walking distance to Grafton Street shopping and all of the central sights of Dublin. The Shelbourne celebrated 200 years in 2024, the landmark premises has been pivotal in the literary, political, and cultural traditions of Irish society, from a cameo in James Joyce’s Ulysses to the venue where the Irish constitution was drafted in 1922 in a meeting chaired by Michael Collins. One of the two original copies of that historic document remain in the ownership of the hotel to this day. Over the years, the Shelbourne has played host to a string of Hollywood superstars, including John Wayne, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rock Hudson, Orson Welles, and Rita Hayworth. In 1958, John F Kennedy and wife Jackie stayed at the hotel, with JFK returning on an official visit to his ancestral homeland as US president in June 1963 – just months before his assassination.
Optional activities will be launched approximately three months prior to the event.
During registration, should an activity mention it is at capacity please contact the Daikin Events Team at DaikinDC@veritas.com.au stating the activity/tour you wish to participate in along with the number of people. We will then place you on the waitlist and our team will be in touch as soon as a place opens up.
Children are welcome to attend some of the activities listed below. Where activities are not child friendly, this has been listed under each activity. Child pricing will be charged at a full adult rate.
If you cancel your activity after Wednesday, 31 July a 100% cancellation fee will be charged (unless we can find a replacement).

All flights for Dealer Convention 2025 will be booked individually, not as a group ticket, this will provide our Dealers with the best possible travel experience with online access to their bookings. Dealers will be flown on the most direct route to Dublin – Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad currently offer best access. Should a Dealer wish to fly on a different airline, they will be allocated an allowance of $2,700 per person including taxes for return Economy Flights to and from Australian capital cities. Regional dealers will continue to receive complimentary flights to and from Australian capital cities to connect with their international flight.
No flights are being held for our group. Please register for the event as soon as your sales qualify and secure your air travel. Please note, the closing date for finalisation of travel is 30 June 2025. For any flights booked following this date, Dealers will be charged any fare differentiations if their preferred flight itinerary exceeds the Daikin flight allowance of AUD $2,700.
Please note, a cap will be put in place to manage the maximum number of dealers on any one flight. If your preferred flight is not available then you will be offered an alternative route or airline (all tier 1 airlines). Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your preferred flights. We would therefore encourage you to secure your preferred flights as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Flights will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Group airport transfers will be provided for Dealers who book their flights through Veritas on the main group arrival and departure dates.
Transfers to and from your home airport or outside the group flights are at your own discretion and expense.

Australian passport holders do not require a visa to visit Ireland on a holiday.
Should you be travelling on a passport from a different country, please ensure you have applied for the relevant visa or are aware of the entry requirements on the passport you are travelling on.
Should you be extending your stay, we would encourage you to review all entry requirements for all countries you are visiting and/ or transiting through. Please note, you do not require a visa to transit through Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Qatar. If you have a long stop in one of these airports, you will get a visa on arrival.
Please note that as of January 2025, should you be extending your trip to the UK you will be required to apply for the new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) ahead of your trip. This visa is intended primarily for tourism and business purposes. Travellers can apply for this ETA from now via the UK government website. Please CLICK HERE to apply, the cost of this visa is $20 AUD.
Please note it is the responsibility of the Dealer to obtain the relevant travel authorisation.

We recommend that you visit your doctor to get the appropriate medical advice on what medical precautions to take before travel.
We strongly recommend that Dealers take out travel insurance prior to the Convention with the inclusion of a COVID-19 clause, this will be to cover any quarantine requirements or flight changes that might result if you become unwell during the trip. Should there be any changes regarding COVID-19 between the time of launching and the event, updates will be advised via email. Daikin will follow Government guidelines both in Australia and Ireland.

Transfers from Dublin Airport to The Shelbourne Hotel are included for all guests travelling on the main group dates where Veritas have booked your flights. Transfers to and from your home airport or outside the group flights are at your own discretion and expense.

The 2025 Convention will take place in Ireland’s summer. August in Dublin usually brings settled weather with high temperatures tend to average around 18-19 degrees Celsius with an evening low of 12 degrees Celsius. Sunset will be 8.15pm during that week, so we will enjoy nice long summer evenings. However, pack some layers as it is Ireland and can be unpredictable!

Dublin enjoys good air access to most European cities. Your international airfares are typically “common rated” which means that you can fly into Dublin and return from another country or vice-versa on the same airline.
The Veritas team of course know the country well and can share some tips to take you off the beaten path. There are some beautiful driving opportunities on Ireland’s west coast in particular. You could easily extend for 10 days to 2 weeks. Stay in a nice Bed & Breakfast or even a castle or grand Manor hotel.
Here is some information on County Kerry, a spectacular part of the country within driving distance of Dublin.

Children Buy-In. Yes, you are welcome to bring children to the program. As normal, children are not invited to the official evening events.
Please note: Accommodation rooms in Europe are typically not large. Should you bring a child with you, depending on their age, the hotel will typically add a rollaway bed to your room at an additional cost, there are no Family rooms in the hotel. The larger rooms allowing 3 people in the room can be quoted to Dealers bringing children, these rooms are typically 30 square metres and are subject to availability at the time of booking. If you intend to bring children, we encourage you to make a booking early.
